Quick log: one-off supplements in seconds

Stack Almanac adds Quick log: track a one-off supplement from the Today tab in seconds, set a short course that ends on its own, and trust your dose totals.

Stack Almanac now lets you log a one-off supplement in seconds, straight from the Today tab. This update also brings better buying guidance from the Almanac Advisor, dose totals you can check at a glance, and a richer ingredient reference library.

What is Quick log?

Quick log is a new button on the Today tab that logs a supplement you don't normally take, without adding it to your stack. Tap it, search for the supplement, pick the time and dose, and you're done.

Before, logging a one-off meant adding it to your stack, logging it, then remembering to remove it later. Now the occasional magnesium before a long flight, or vitamin C during a cold, takes a few taps and leaves your stack exactly as it was.

Taking something for a few days? Set it once

When you quick log, you can optionally set a duration, like taking this for 3 days. The supplement then appears in your daily routine until the date passes, and steps out on its own. No clean-up, and no lingering reminders for something you finished last week.

This is built for short courses: an electrolyte through a heatwave, a probiotic after antibiotics, or anything your pharmacist suggested for the week.

Can the Almanac Advisor help me buy supplements?

Yes, and now for every supplement. When we have vetted partner offers, the advisor shows them with prices. When we don't, it walks you through what to look for on the label instead: quality markers, which forms are worth choosing, and what to skip. Either way, asking where to buy something gets you a useful answer.

Dose totals that always add up

Elemental dosing is tricky: 500 mg of magnesium citrate is not 500 mg of magnesium. The show your work breakdown now applies that conversion everywhere it appears, so each supplement's contribution matches your daily total exactly, including for elemental-form ingredients like magnesium and zinc. Check the maths yourself; it adds up.

A richer ingredient reference library

37 ingredients now carry full reference entries written from verified sources: what each one does, how the forms differ, and what pairs well with what. You'll see the richer detail in the app and on our ingredient pages.

Check-ins that tell you what went wrong

If a daily or weekly check-in ever fails to save, the app now tells you the actual reason instead of a generic error, and it keeps prompting you until your answers have really saved. Before, a failed weekly check-in could quietly mark the week as done and lose what you wrote.
