Smart Restock: Never Run Out of Supplements Again
Stack Almanac tracks your supply levels and alerts you before you run out, with one-tap purchase links to restock at the best price. Here's how Smart Restock works.
Running out of a supplement mid-protocol is one of the most common reasons stacks fail. You take magnesium every night for three weeks, see real improvements in your sleep, then run out and don't reorder for two weeks. The progress resets.
Stack Almanac's Smart Restock system prevents this by tracking your supply and nudging you before you run out.
How Smart Restock works
When you add a supplement to your stack, you can optionally set your supply level, indicating how many doses you have remaining. Stack Almanac then:
- Calculates your daily consumption based on your dosing schedule
- Estimates days remaining until your supply runs out
- Alerts you at key thresholds: warning (14 days left), low (7 days), critical (3 days)
- Provides one-tap purchase links to restock from trusted retailers
The system is passive. You don't need to update your supply count daily. It estimates based on your compliance data. If you skip days, the estimate adjusts.
Cost comparison built in
When it's time to restock, you want the best price. Stack Almanac includes a cost comparison feature that shows pricing from multiple retailers, including iHerb, Amazon, Bulk, Time Health, Thorne, and others.
Prices are a mix of verified data and community-reported prices from other Stack Almanac users. The best price is highlighted, and verified prices are badged so you know the data is reliable.
Trust over revenue
One deliberate design decision: affiliate links only appear on restock notifications for supplements you already take. The Almanac Advisor never recommends a new supplement for revenue reasons. This matters because most supplement platforms have a financial incentive to recommend more products. Stack Almanac's advisor is designed to recommend less when that's the right answer.
If the advisor suggests removing a supplement because the correlation engine shows it's not working for you, that's a recommendation that costs the platform money. The platform makes it anyway, because trust is more valuable than affiliate revenue.
Restock reminders via messaging
Smart Restock notifications work across all channels. If you're connected to Telegram, WhatsApp, or SMS, you'll get restock reminders there too, not just in the app.
A typical restock reminder:
"Your Magnesium Glycinate is running low (~5 days left). Restock from iHerb (£14.99 for 120 caps) or Amazon (£16.49). Tap to buy."
One tap takes you to the retailer with the best price.
A Pro feature
Smart Restock is part of the Pro plan. Free tier users can still track their supplements and view compliance data, but the proactive supply monitoring, restock alerts, and affiliate savings are Pro benefits.
